1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between Eddy Leasing Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) and the customer (“you”). By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

We operate as a Man With a Van service, specialising in waste clearance. All services are carried out by self-employed operatives, who are individually responsible for their own tax, insurance, and compliance with legal requirements.

2. Services

We provide:

  • Domestic and commercial waste clearance
  • Transport and disposal of non-hazardous waste
  • Man With a Van hire

We do not collect or dispose of hazardous waste unless specifically agreed in writing and carried out under the correct licence.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Bookings can be made by phone, email, or through our website.
  • Payment is due immediately on completion of the job, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Some jobs may require advance payment.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance to avoid charges.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Providing safe, clear access to the property and waste.
  • Giving an accurate description of the type and amount of waste.
  • Ensuring the waste is non-hazardous, unless agreed otherwise.
  • Securing any permissions needed from landlords, neighbours, or local authorities.

5. Service Conditions

To keep everything safe and fair, the following conditions apply:

  • The van can carry a maximum of 1 tonne.
  • The van cannot be filled to the roof unless it’s only light items.
  • We cannot guarantee all items will fit in a single load.
  • The driver has the final say on when the van has reached a safe weight or load.
  • Once the van is full, it must be unloaded before continuing.
  • All prices are based on a round trip from BS3.
  • Workers are entitled to take short breaks during long jobs.
  • This is a Man With a Van service, not a full removals company.

6. Operative Responsibilities

Each operative must:

  • Hold a valid Waste Carrier Licence.
  • Maintain their own Public Liability Insurance.
  • Follow relevant safety and environmental laws.
  • Handle their own tax and National Insurance.

We are not liable for anything operatives do outside the agreed scope of work.

7. Liability

We accept no responsibility for:

  • Damage caused by restricted access or incorrect waste descriptions.
  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, or events beyond our control.
  • Loss or damage caused by operatives acting outside the agreed service.

Our total liability will never exceed the total amount paid for the service.

8. Data Protection

We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Your data is used only for delivering our services and will never be shared with third parties without your consent. See our Privacy Policy for more details.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved exclusively in the courts of England and Wales.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website and will take effect immediately upon posting.
